Happiness starts with laughter. It may be one of the best things one could ever feel in his entire life. Sure, you get to laugh once in a while but still, the problems and obstacles that you encounter each day can turn that smiling face upside down. The wrinkles in your forehead tend to increase as you frown and worry. So why waste time being depressed when all you can do is laugh and be happy!
Frowning takes up more than 20 muscles in your face but laughing would just take 12 facial muscles for you to do the trick. Just by laughing, you could make a relationship closer and stronger. Laughter has always been the best medicine and it comprises lot of benefits. Allow me to state a few.
First, it relaxes the whole body because it relieves physical tension and stress. It also boosts the immune system because it decreases the stress hormones and increases the production of antibodies (infection-fighting cells) which improves the immunity of a person. Thirdly, laughing triggers the release of endorphins, the happy hormones, which can promote an overall sense of well-being and can relieve pain temporarily. And lastly, laughter protects the heart because it improves the function of the blood vessels by dilating it which increases blood flow to the entire body.
Several studies have also shown that laughter could really make you healthy and even increase you life span! There is even a study called Laughter Yoga discovered by Dr. Madan Kataria in March 1995 which encourages you to laugh as often as you can.
So laugh your heart out and be happy. Be Positive! :)
