The World's Most Expensive Glasses

In May of 1998 Civic Lubbock Inc. bought a pair of glasses for a blurry $80,000.00 USD which the company then donated to the city of Lubbock, Texas and the Buddy Holly exhibit.

The world's most expensive glasses are those that Buddy Holly wore when he perished in the plane crash on February 03 1959. The glasses then spent 22 years in a sheriff's office in Iowa before finally being returned to his widow and put up for sale.
